「人体、主に背中をテーマとして制作しています。
人と人との関わりの中で生まれる変化や互いの相違、そうした曖昧で捉えきれないことを、自身では見ることのできない背中を用いて可視化しようとしています。
そして、様々な経験を重ねることで、多くのことを実らせ、蓄え、時には失う事もあります。それらは自身では見えにくく他者によって見つけられることも多いのではないかと感じています。背中は意識が向きにくく、無意識に感情が現れてしまう箇所ではないでしょうか。
近年では塑像で制作した表面の変化だけでなく内側と外側の変化を表現した作品や、実をつける植物を制作しています。内側を保護すること、そして内と外を隔てる役割をする「cover」という言葉を、この度の個展のタイトルにしました。」

“I’m working on art themed around the human body, primarily focusing on the back. This theme stems from the changes and differences that arise in human interactions, aiming to visualize the intangible and elusive aspects of these experiences through the back—a part of ourselves we cannot easily see. As people go through various experiences, they grow, accumulate, and sometimes lose aspects of themselves, often noticed more by others than by themselves. The back represents an area not often consciously considered, where emotions may unintentionally manifest.

In recent years, my work has expanded to not just the surface changes of sculptures but also to expressing the changes between the inside and outside. This includes creating works that feature fruit-bearing plants, symbolizing protection of the inner self and the boundary between the inner and outer selves. I’ve chosen the word “cover” as the title for my latest solo exhibition to reflect these themes.”
