アーティストコメント

本展「残光のかたち」では、人物を描き続けるなかで積み重ねてきた時間と記憶を見つめ直します。

目の前の存在は、時間とともに少しずつ変化していきます。そして、描く私自身もまた、その時間の中で変わり続けています。

それでも、幾度も絵の具を重ねた時間や、モデルたちと静かに向き合った日々は、淡い光のように心の奥へと残り続けています。

日本画ならではの繊細な質感と、幾層にも重ねられた色彩によって描かれる人物像。その静かな佇まいには、儚さと確かな存在感が同時に宿っています。

作品に残るそれぞれの「残光」を通して、過ぎ去った時間が今もなお私たちの中で静かに息づいていることを感じていただけましたら幸いです。

Artist Statement

In Forms of Afterglow, I reflect on the time and memories accumulated through my continued practice of painting the human figure.

The people before me gradually change with time, and I, too, continue to change alongside them.

Yet the hours spent layering pigments and the quiet days shared with my models remain within me like a gentle afterglow.

Rendered with the delicate textures and luminous layers unique to Japanese painting, these figures embody both fragility and an enduring sense of presence.

Through the afterglow that resides within each work, I hope viewers will sense how the moments that have passed continue to live on within us.
