日本の伝統画材を研究する染谷香理は、岩絵具や金属顔料、植物染料など、多様な素材が調和しながらも混ざり合わない特性を生かし、独自の世界を描く。彼女の作品には、日本の時間軸「ハレ」（非日常）と「ケ」（日常）が共存し、華やかな文様と現実のモチーフが交差する。
 その世界の中で、登場人物は幻想と現実、真実と虚構、本音と建前の間を彷徨い、私たちが日々直面する選択の象徴となる。そこに答えはなく、ただ異なる要素が互いを尊重しながら調和する美がある。伝統と現代が交差する染谷香理の作品が紡ぐ、新たな視点をぜひご覧ください。

Kaori Someya, an artist specializing in traditional Japanese painting, creates a unique world by utilizing the distinct properties of mineral pigments, metal-based colors, and plant dyes—elements that coexist in harmony without blending. Her works embody the duality of Japan’s temporal axis: “Hare” (extraordinary) and “Ke” (ordinary), where intricate decorative patterns intertwine with real-world motifs.

Within this world, her characters wander between fantasy and reality, truth and illusion, sincerity and pretense—symbolizing the choices we face in our daily lives. There are no definitive answers, only the beauty of diverse elements respecting and balancing one another. 作家略歴：
2002年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科文化財保存学保存修復修士課程修了。院展を中心に数多くの賞を受賞し、国内美術館に作品を多数収蔵する。ニューヨークでも活動を展開し、現在、日本美術院特待。
