About the event
"I am producing a series of works based on the theme of "fulfilling loneliness". This means a state of being satisfied both physically and mentally despite being alone, and is mainly represented by the composition of a blurred everyday landscape and a silhouette of a black dog.
The word "Xanadu" chosen as the title this time has the meaning of "Peach Blossom" and has been used in various fields to date. In a new series of works that I've recently started working on, I've been supporting monochrome films from the 1940s for some reason, and this word appears in one of them. The castle named Xanadu (Peach Blossom) that appears in the film was portrayed as a place where the protagonist, who was proud of his meaning, thought of his loneliness and what he could not obtain at the end.
For me, who has renewed my living environment from spring, the new residence has become a complex place where happiness and emptiness are mixed over time, and gradually I have a different perspective on my own themes that I have dealt with so far. rice field. What kind of scenery will spread in front of you when your mind and body are filled without depending on anything?
We would appreciate it if you could view it within a reasonable range."
