｜Artist statement｜
"Since last year, I've been tired of the news of the new Corona, so I started shooting with a focus on flowers that are simply beautiful and refreshing.
Until now, I haven't taken many flowers as a work, but I decided to make a flower work because I thought that flowers were still necessary in a turbulent world.
Flower works such as Irving Penn and Robert Mapplethorpe are wonderful, but I was also interested in what I could make myself.
This work was created with the idea of a flower work in the digital age. Inspired by a technique from the film era called solarization, the color and shape of flowers that remain on the sensor of a digital camera and cannot be seen with the naked eye are captured as a vision.
